The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, John X, stressed the essential role and mission of Christians in the Middle East. The Patriarch uttered these words while receiving the visit of Reverend Archbishops Basilios Mansour (Akkar), Nicolas Baalbaki (Hama), Athanasios Fahd (Latakia), Efrem Maalouli (Aleppo and Alexandretta), Gregory Khoury (Homs), and Antonios Saad (Houran), in the Patriarchal Monastery of St. George of Al-Humaira in Wadi Al Nasara. The meeting was an occasion to touched on church events and the challenges facing the Church activities in light of the general situation in the region.
