Patriarch John X in Antioch

His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, arrived with his accompanying delegation in the city of Antioch, marking the first stop of his visit.
He was welcomed at the Syrian–Turkish border by local clergy, heads of associations (Bashqans), and a group of faithful. The welcoming crowd accompanied His Beatitude to his residence in Antioch.
His Beatitude expressed his pride in the historic and vibrant Antiochian Orthodox presence in the region, stressing that this area has always been, and continues to be, the historical heart of the Church of Antioch.
