His Beatitude Patriarch John X bestows the Order…

In the presence of members of the Balamand family and their representatives, as well as the family of Dr. Adib William Saab, his wife Dr. Elene Dammeh Saab, and family friends, the Order of Saints Peter and Paul—chief among the Apostles and founders of the Holy Apostolic See of Antioch—of the rank of Knight, granted by His Beatitude Patriarch John X, was presented to Dr. Adib William Saab. The order was handed over by Archimandrite Yaacoub Khalil, Dean of the Institute of Theology, representing His Beatitude, a ceremony held at the Adib and Elene Saab Center for Antiochian Letters and Culture at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology, University of Balamand.

The gathering opened with chants performance by the Institute’s choir. It was followed by a speech from Archimandrite Yaacoub Khalil, who highlighted the honoree’s intellectual and academic contributions, crowned by the establishment of this center. He reflected on the vision and role of the center. Dr. Adib Saab then delivered remarks, expressing his love and appreciation for His Beatitude and valuing this honor, while reviewing the various stages of the center’s creation.
