Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East expressed the Church’s pride in its Archdiocese in North America and in the distinguished, historic Antiochian presence there. His words came during a meeting with the Archdiocesan Board of Trustees, headed by Metropolitan Saba Isber, at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology in Balamand. The meeting included a review of the current situation and pastoral challenges in North America, as well as the broader challenges facing Christian presence in the East. The delegation, for its part, expressed joy at being in Lebanon during the preparation for the Holy Synod, affirming its steadfast support for the Church during these crucial times.
