Patriarch John X Meets the Archiocesan…

 

His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East met with the Metropolitans of the archdioceses in Syria at the Patriarchal Residence in Damascus. Present at the meeting were Metropolitans Basilios Mansour (Akkar), Nicolas Baalbaki (Hama), Athanasios Fahed (Latakia), Ephraim Maalouli (Aleppo), Gregorios Khoury (Homs), Antonios Saad (Hauran), as well as the bishops of the Patriarchate: Romanos Hannat, Moussa Khoury, Yuhanna Batash, and Arsenios Dahdal.

The gathering addressed the general situation in Syria and the developments in the archdioceses on all levels. It also discussed the necessity of working toward a framework of cooperation and solidarity among all archdioceses, both within the homeland and abroad, to embody the principle of Antiochian ecclesial belonging in the face of the blowing winds in the region.
