His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received a delegation from the UK-based relief organization Tearfund at the Patriarchal residence in Balamand.

The delegation included Chief Executive Officer Tim Pilkington, Global Director Veena O'Sullivan, Regional Director Safa Hijazeen, Syria Country Director Jaime Abraham, and accompanying delegation. Also present were Metropolitan Ephraim Maalouli of Aleppo, Iskenderun and dependencies, along with Archimandrite Melatios Shatahy, Director General of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development (GOPA-DERD).

The delegation conveyed their condolences for the victims of the Mar Elias Church attack in Dweilaa, Damascus, and affirmed Tearfund’s solidarity and support for the Church of Antioch amid the current challenges facing the region.
