Divine Liturgy for Pascha Sunday

 

His Beatitude Patriarch John X presided over the Pascha Sunday Divine Liturgy at the Mariamite Cathedral in Damascus, with the Greek Ambassador, Mr. Emmanuel Kakavilakis in attendance. Assisting him in the service were Reverend bishops: Romanos Al Hannat, Moussa Al Khoury, Youhanna Batash, and Arsanios Dahdal.

They were joined by numerous priests and deacons in the celebration.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude performed the traditional blessing of Pascha eggs and extended his greetings to all, wishing peace and love on this feast of feasts and season of seasons. Following the service, the congregation gathered in the church hall for a festive exchange of greetings.
